With two very active teenagers, I’ve tried every phone case that looked even reasonably protective… Along with every mount you can imagine. Car mounts, bike mounts and Bluetooth speakers are things I’ve bought dozens of, too. So, here’s my take on others I’ve tried vs. RokForm’s offerings:
Bike Mounts
I’ve never found a bike mount that I like. The brackets are too big or too small, or too something. They slip and slide around the bike handlebars, and never stay in place. The magnetic ones are a little better, but they’re not strong enough to hold the phone in place, especially when you encounter bumps in the road (or trail).
Phone Mount for Car
As for car mounts, the window mounts are the ones I fear the most. They have a tendency to randomly fall off the window at the most inconvenient times. It’s always fun to be driving in traffic when the suction cup loses suction. Then, the mount falls onto the dash, sending my phone flying into my lap… Or worse, across the car where I can’t reach it. In addition to scaring years off my life, I now have to retrieve my phone and remount it. Or just resolve to live without GPS for the moment.
Then there are the sticky, dashboard mounts. Some are so close to the dashboard, there’s hardly room for the phone… And have little to no flexibility for better viewing. The longer/taller ones with more flexibility are great… At least until I have to leave my car in the sun. Then, when I return to the car and click my phone into place on the mount, the ‘sticky’ has warmed… And the weight of the phone peels the mount from the dash. I tell my kids that I’m a goddess, because my phone bows to me. That gets a laugh, but does nothing to keep my phone in the best position for me to use the GPS.
So when Rokform introduced me to their ecosystem of phone cases, mounts and speakers, I had to try them.

The cases fit Apple and Samsung phones. And they all have military grade or better drop protection… An absolute must for my kids! I don’t know how they can drop one phone so many times… But they do… And they do it often. Tempered glass screen protectors are also available… And are another must for both me and the kids.
Did I mention all cases are magnetic? Each case is equipped with strong, integrated magnets… For the most powerful hold in the industry… That won’t hurt your phone or your credit cards. They’ll stick to any metal surface, so they’re ideal for group-shot selfies.
I stick my phone to the fridge or microwave while I’m cooking. That way, I can keep the new recipe I’m trying at eye-level and out of range of any spilled ingredients. It works well in the garage, too… Attached to the metal cabinets, while I watch and attempt to duplicate the procedure for installing a new miter saw blade.
And don’t forget grocery carts! I used to balance my phone on top of my purse in the child’s seat in the front of the cart… And constantly checked and adjusted it so that it didn’t fall off. Now, I just stick my phone to the metal cart, and I’m free to shop.

Phone Mount for Car
They offer FIVE (5) options, including a Super Grip Vent Mount, which is super versatile. I chose the Swivel Dash Mount for the ultimate in ease, flexibility and convenience. This option comes with 4 strong magnets and swivels 360 degrees, which means I can easily adjust my viewing angle for the perfect view. And my son who’s learning how to drive can adjust to his perfect viewing angle with ease. It also attaches to the dash with a residue-free adhesive, so I don’t have to worry about a big ugly mess if I want to keep the mount and sell the car. And I’m definitely keeping this mount!
If you’re off-roading, two of the mounts are equipped with the patented RokLock mounting interface to lock your phone in place. Once locked, it’s not going anywhere! Not just for golfing! I got a mount to use this portable Bluetooth speaker on the boat. With the patented RokLock feature, it’s the most secure portable speaker on the market.
